Worship Rituals for Day 7

On Saptami, devotees should bathe early and wear red or blue clothes. Holding flowers in their hands, they should invoke Goddess Kalaratri and take a vow to observe the fast. Light a ghee lamp in front of the Goddess and offer her red and blue flowers. Devotees also offer jaggery as bhog to the Goddess. Reciting the mantra “Om Kalaratri Devyai Namah” and reading the Durga Saptashati is considered highly auspicious.

Distribute the jaggery as prasad among family members, and make sure to donate the remaining prasad to the needy, as it is believed to attract divine blessings.

Miraculous Remedy with Two Cloves

To seek the special blessings of Goddess Kalaratri, light a lamp with sesame or mustard oil in front of the Goddess at night on Saptami. Recite Kali Chalisa, Kali Purana, and the complete Durga Saptashati. Chant the Beej mantra “Kling Aim Shree Kalika Namah” using a red sandalwood or Rudraksha rosary, while seated on a red blanket.

After the puja, offer just two cloves to the Goddess. Once the ritual is completed, keep these cloves with you. It is said that this remedy brings extraordinary benefits in life and helps overcome obstacles.
