Pune News: Pune residents have some great news! The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced an online lottery for the sale of 6,294 homes across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the districts of Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli. This lottery, following the success of previous initiatives in Mumbai, aims to provide affordable housing options for those in need.
Application Process Begins
The application registration and filling process will commence on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 12 PM. Pune board chairman Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil will launch the “Go-Live” event. The online lottery for home sales will take place on December 5, 2024. Registered applicants will be able to start making online payments from October 10, 2024, at 12 PM. The registration process will close on November 12, 2024, at 5 PM. Additionally, applicants can submit their deposit payments online until November 12, 2024, at 11:59 PM. (Pune News Today)
Deposit Payment Timeline
For those participating in the lottery, deposit payments via RTGS/NEFT will be accepted until 3 PM on November 13, 2024, during bank working hours. A provisional list of accepted applications will be published on the MHADA website (https://housing.mhada.gov.in) on November 23, 2024, at 7 PM. Applicants will then have the opportunity to raise objections regarding the provisional list until 5 PM on November 27, 2024. The final list of applicants eligible for the lottery will be published on November 30, 2024.
Housing Categories and Distribution
The Pune board’s lottery will be divided into five categories, including the First Come First Serve scheme, which offers 2,340 homes under the MHADA housing project. Additionally, 93 homes will be available for citizens under the same scheme, along with 418 homes from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) also based on the First Come First Serve principle. Furthermore, 20% of homes will be allocated under the Inclusive Housing Scheme, which includes a total of 3,312 homes within the Pune Municipal Corporation, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority limits.
