Ladki Bahin Yojana: The Maharashtra government’s ambitious “Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana,” commonly known as the Ladki Bahin Yojana, has received another deadline extension, offering eligible women a new opportunity to apply. The last date to submit applications has now been extended to October 15, 2024. Previously, the deadline was set to expire at the end of September. Applicants can now apply until midnight on October 15, 2024, but the process must be done exclusively through Anganwadi workers.

Why the Deadline Was Extended

The extension was granted to ensure that more women who have not yet benefitted from the Ladki Bahin Yojana can take advantage of the scheme. The program received overwhelming participation from women across both rural and urban areas of Maharashtra. Initially, the government allowed applications to be submitted via an app and online portals. However, with the latest extension, applications can now only be processed through Anganwadi workers.

Third Deadline Extension for the Scheme

This is the third time the deadline for the Ladki Bahin Yojana has been extended. Initially, applications were accepted from July 1 to July 15, 2024, then extended to August 31, 2024, and subsequently to September 30, 2024. Now, for the third time, the deadline has been pushed to October 15, 2024.
