Social Security News: Millions of Americans who rely on Social Security benefits each month can expect their June 2025 payments to arrive right on schedule. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is set to distribute over $100 billion this month across retirement, disability, survivors, SSI, and SSDI programs.
There are no delays, cuts, or cancellations to Social Security payments in June. Despite recent concerns from beneficiaries, the SSA has confirmed that payments are processing as usual.
Early SSI Payment: May 30
Because June 1st falls on a Sunday, SSI recipients will receive their payment early on Friday, May 30, 2025. This is a standard SSA procedure for months when the 1st lands on a weekend.
So, if you’re on SSI, expect to see the money deposited into your account two days ahead of schedule.
June 3: Long-Term and Concurrent Beneficiaries
Those who began receiving Social Security before May 1997, or who get SSI and another Social Security benefit (concurrent claims), will receive their monthly payment on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
This payment is not affected by weekends or holidays, so it will arrive on time.
June 11: Birthdays Between 1st–10th
If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of any month and you’re receiving retirement or SSDI benefits, your payment will arrive on the second Wednesday, which is June 11, 2025.
These are typically direct deposited to your bank account, Direct Express card, or checking account.
June 18: Birthdays Between 11th–20th
Recipients with birthdays from the 11th to 20th will get paid on the third Wednesday of the month, which is June 18, 2025.
As long as your direct deposit information hasn’t changed, there should be no issues receiving your funds.
June 25: Birthdays Between 21st–31st
Finally, for those whose birthdays fall between the 21st and 31st, payments will be sent out on the fourth Wednesday, which is June 25, 2025.
Again, all payments are expected to be processed on time with no interruptions.
