New York, NY — SpaceX is moving forward with one of the most anticipated public market debuts in history. The company, led by Elon Musk, is expected to file its IPO prospectus shortly and could begin trading on Nasdaq as early as mid-June 2026.

This offering has the potential to raise up to $80 billion at a valuation near $1.75 trillion or higher, far surpassing previous records.

Goldman Sachs has secured the lead left underwriter position for the deal. Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase are also serving as key bookrunners, with additional banks supporting the effort. The timeline points to a roadshow launch in early June, pricing around June 11, and a Nasdaq listing under the ticker SPCX on June 12.

The IPO comes after SpaceX’s recent merger with xAI, which strengthened its position in both space technology and artificial intelligence. Starlink’s growing subscription revenue and the company’s dominance in reusable rocket launches remain major drivers of its high valuation.

For everyday investors, the deal stands out because SpaceX plans to allocate up to 30% of shares to retail participants, a higher portion than many large offerings.

In a related move, SpaceX is set to acquire the fast-growing AI coding startup Cursor shortly after going public. The agreement, valued at around $60 billion, includes a $10 billion breakup fee if the deal does not close. This step highlights the company’s push to enhance its AI capabilities for coding and knowledge work.

Investors and space enthusiasts will watch this IPO closely. It could set new benchmarks for how the market values innovative companies in aerospace, satellites, and AI. Those interested in participating should review official filings once released and consider their own financial goals and risk tolerance before making decisions.

SpaceX’s journey from a private pioneer to a publicly traded company marks a significant moment for technology and investment markets.
