There is no change in design

According to the leaked CAD renders, the design of the Pixel 10a will be similar to its predecessor. The phone is expected to have a flat plastic back which is a feature of Google’s A-series. A small bullet-shaped camera module is expected to house the dual camera setup at the rear. According to reports, thicker bezels are also expected this time around. Google typically uses this design to differentiate the A-series from its premium Pixel phones.

Same old formula in action

The Pixel 10a is likely to have the same 6.3-inch OLED display as last year’s model. It is likely to use LTPS technology, which will reduce the refresh rate of the screen to less than 1Hz. This means that the display quality will be better, but the power efficiency will not improve significantly.

Focus on the Tensor G4 chip and battery

This time the Pixel 10a is expected to have a Tensor G4 processor instead of the latest Tensor G5 in the Pixel 9 series. According to reports the TSMC-made Tensor G5 could be more expensive, so Google decided to opt for an older chipset. However, the Tensor G4 is said to get a slight speed boost. The phone is expected to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard. The battery is likely to be 5199mAh, the charging speed is expected to remain the same as the previous model.

The 128GB variant in India costs around Rs. 52,000, while the 256 GB variant is expected to cost around Rs. 63,000 is expected. However, no official announcement has been made by Google yet.
