Kia India is creating more than one record in the Indian market in terms of car sales. Yes, Kia Sonet, a popular vehicle in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment, has crossed the milestone of selling 5 lakh units in the Indian market.
The Sonnet has been designed with the needs and expectations of today’s customers in mind, introducing a new and bold style to the sub-compact SUV segment. The Sonnet was launched in the Indian market in August 2020 and went on sale from September 2020.
Bumper demand at home and abroad
The Kia Sonet has a market share of around 35 percent in the company’s domestic sales. This has increased Kia’s reach across India. The Kia Sonet is currently the company’s best-selling car and has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 7.30 lakhs and starts at Rs. 14 lakh goes up to. The Sonnet is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 81.8bhp to 118bhp and 115Nm to 250Nm of peak torque. This SUV comes with several transmission options. The mileage of this 5 seater SUV is 18.4 kmpl to 24.1 kmpl. Kia Sonet is also good in terms of looks and features. The Sonnet is considered to be the most advanced SUV in its segment and people love it more because of its features.
