Work at Google: The dream of many young people today is to work in Google. Many people want to work in Google because of generous salary, many benefits, freedom to work freely, facility to learn new technologies and many more. Many young people risk their lives for it. Every year more than 3 million young people from around the world, including India, apply for jobs at Google. But only less than one percent of these are selected. It clearly means that getting a job in Google is not easy. But this does not mean that there is no job.

What degree do you need for a job at Google?

Skills are more important than degrees to get a job in Google. Your technical skills are important. Required Degree (Preferred Education) BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/IT), MCA (Master of Computer Application) with B.Sc/M.Sc (Computer Science) to get a job in Google. But Google doesn’t just look at your degree, it looks at your thinking power, creativity and problem solving ability.

This is the job process

1. To get a job in Google you have to apply online. For that you have to go to the website called Google Careers. Here you have to apply for the jobs and mentioned posts. In the resume you have to give information about your projects internships, your skills. So if you get a recommendation from a Google employee, your job path is paved.

2. If your name is shortlisted you will be contacted by Google HR. Information about your career will be collected. Where do you work, why do you want to work at Google? What skills you have will be considered.

3. Initially some positions are allowed to work from home. In this you are assigned a coding test, case study or small project. It tests your thinking ability and how you solve problems and in how many days.

4. Next is the technology based interview. This is considered to be the most important phase of your job at Google. There are three to five rounds of interviews. Each interview is approximately 45-60 minutes.

5. Googleness (behavioral interviewing) is the next special test. It depends on your personality. It examines how you can work as an individual and as a colleague. It tests your personality.

6. If you clear all these criteria, then the final selection committee will decide about you. Based on that offer letter is given. This entire process may take about two months to complete.

Be prepared for a hefty salary

Software Engineer (Freshers) Fresher candidates in Google are given annual salary of 15 lakhs to 40 lakhs. But it can vary greatly depending on the location and status of the job. While the salary for beginners ranges from 50,000 to 1 lakh rupees per month.
