Arcane Season 2 Review: At last available on Netflix, Arcane Season 2 is a visual feast. Following the dramatic climax of season 1, the new episodes explore the turmoil Jinx’s terrible assault on the Council Chambers of Piltover causes. As the events change Piltover and the Undercity of Zaun, power conflicts follow. While Jinx works through her loss and attempts to replace the gap in her heart, Vi and Caitlyn’s forbidden love tale confronts fresh obstacles.

Combining amazing animation with a real, emotional story defines the show. Every frame is a piece of beauty, deftly combining vibrant, masterly choreographed action sequences with painting images and anime-style effects. With strong melodrama and very intimate character journeys, the emotional stakes remain great. The series’s amazing animation and sincere narrative make up for some minor shortcomings even if certain stories seem hurried and other character growth appear a touch under exposed.
