Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has launched the specially tailored Express sedan for fleet service in petrol and CNG, further strengthening its grip in the fleet segment in addition to the company’s already existing XPRES EV.
The car comes with Tata Motors’ trusty 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and has a manual transmission. It will now also get the option of Tata’s exclusive twin-cylinder CNG technology, which will increase revenue and provide peace of mind to fleet operators.
Price and warranty
Tata Motors’ new Express sedan is priced at Rs. 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom) and for Express CNG Rs. 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom). These are initial prices. This car from Tata is a big challenger to Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour and Hyundai Aura segment. The car is one of the cheapest and low maintenance in the fleet segment and comes with an extended warranty of 5 years or 1,80,000 km. Tata Motors has also opened exclusive dealerships in select cities for fleet customers, where they will get exclusive sales and service facilities.
something special
Tata Motors’ new XPRESS CNG features the segment’s largest 70-litre twin-cylinder fuel tank, which helps cover long distances and reduces the worry of frequent refuelling. Interestingly, there is no dearth of boot space in the CNG variant too, thanks to the twin-cylinder technology, thus eliminating baggage space issues for fleet operators.
The petrol variant gets the biggest boot space of 419 litres. The most unique feature of this new car is that it is the cheapest car in the fleet segment, be it petrol or CNG. Tata Motors has also opened a dedicated dealership for fleet customers, where trained staff and specialized equipment will be available to meet the needs of fleet customers.
‘Low maintenance costs and attractive financing solutions’
Tata Express has been developed to meet the real operational challenges faced by fleet customers and owners, said Vivek Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited. We are excited to introduce the segment-first 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant, which has the largest boot space in the segment. Also, the petrol variant also has the largest boot space. With low maintenance costs of 0.47 per km and attractive finance solutions for fleet customers, the Express is the best buy in the petrol and CNG segment.
