The demand for electric cars in India is increasing rapidly. Due to this, auto companies are preparing to launch new electric car models. A total of four new electric cars are set to be launched in India this year, including the Tata Sierra. The special thing is that Maruti Suzuki and Toyota companies are also preparing to launch their electric cars. While Tata Motors has strengthened its portfolio. All these cars are strong in terms of range, features and design.

Maruti Suzuki and Vitara

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be Maruti’s first electric SUV in India. This car can be launched in the first quarter of 2026. This car will get two battery options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh. An EV with a large battery can run up to 543 kilometers on a single charge. The car generates around 172 bhp of power and will be available in three trims namely Delta, Jetta and Alfa. Customers have been waiting for this car for a long time.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Abella

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Abella is based on the Maruti E-Vitara. But its design is going to be sharper and more premium. It also has a battery capacity of 48.8 kWh and 61.1 kWh. Which can give a maximum range of 543 km. This will be Toyota’s first electric car. Due to which the company is now going to establish its foot in the EV segment.

Tata Sierra EV and Tiago EV facelift

Tata Company is launching its iconic Sierra car in an electric avatar. So the Tata Sierra EV might get an AWD option. And it is likely to get a 55 or 65 kWh battery. The range of this car is likely to be around 500 km. Also, the facelifted version of the Tata Tiago EV will also arrive in the year 2026 itself. It will have a new look and a digital dashboard. However, the battery and range will remain the same.

Tata Avinya Sportback

Tata Avinya Sportback is going to be the most high-tech and premium electric car of Tata company. It may be launched by the end of 2026. And the range of this car is likely to be more than 600 kilometers.
