India The last month of 2025 was good for Yamaha Motor and the company sold 54,914 two-wheelers i.e. bikes and scooters in the domestic market. This number is up 49.30 percent year-on-year, as only 36,780 units were sold in December 2024. The recently launched XS 155 has been the biggest contributor to Yamaha’s success.

Yamaha’s most exclusive bike, the XSR 155, became the company’s best-seller at launch, surpassing the company’s other bikes and scooters in terms of sales. At the same time, the rest of the scooters including RaZR scooter and FZ and R15 bikes, as well as Fascino, Erox were left behind. Yamaha XSR 155 sold 15,000 units

In December 2025, Yamaha sold a total of 14,951 units of its new bike XSR 155 in the Indian market, more than any other two-wheeler. The new generation sibling of Yamaha’s iconic bike RX 100 is priced at Rs. 1,50,668 are ex-showroom. It has a 155 cc engine, which generates 18.4 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of peak torque. Its mileage is 45.5 kmpl.

Yamaha’s hybrid scooter is at number two

Yamaha’s second best-selling two-wheeler last December was the Yamaha Razer, which was purchased by 14,153 customers compared to 12,002 units in December 2024.

Yamaha FZ in third place

In December 2025, 10,291 units of Yamaha FZ bikes were sold and this figure shows a year-on-year growth of 20 percent. In December 2024, it sold 8,558 units.

Yamaha R15 bike at number four

Last month, Yamaha’s most popular sports bike, the Yamaha R15, sold a total of 5,453 units compared to 4,269 units in December 2024, up 27.73 percent year-on-year.

Fascino scooters in top 5, but sales decline

In December 2025, Yamaha Fascino scooter sales stood at 4,630 units, as against 5,475 units in December 2024, representing a year-on-year decline of 15.43 percent.

Yamaha MT-15 in sixth place

In December 2025, Yamaha’s naked street bike MT-15 sold a total of 4,403 units in the Indian market and this figure represents a year-on-year decline of 15.72 percent compared to 5,224 units in December 2024.

Yamaha Aerox 155 is at the seventh position

Yamaha’s attractive maxi scooter Aerox 155 sold 1,031 units in December 2025, a year-on-year decline of 17.39 percent. In December 2024, it sold 1,248 units.

Yamaha R3 and MT-03 are not in demand

In December 2025, only two units of Yamaha’s two powerful bikes, the R3 and the MT-03, were sold. Only 4 units were sold in December 2024. Yamaha exports both these bikes.
