Breeze Airways is set to strengthen its growing U.S. network with a new nonstop route from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) to Savannah, Georgia, launching in May 2026. The announcement comes as the airline also rolls out some of the lowest nationwide flight prices of the year, starting at just $30 one way ahead of the busy holiday travel season.
Beginning in May, Breeze will operate twice-weekly flights every Thursday and Sunday between Akron-Canton and Savannah. The route becomes CAK’s 15th nonstop destination and adds a direct connection to one of the South’s most popular getaway cities, known for its historic architecture, coastal charm, and vibrant arts scene.
The new service builds on Breeze Airways’ rapid expansion at Akron-Canton, which already offers nonstop routes to Charleston, Tampa, Orlando, Norfolk, Las Vegas, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Myrtle Beach, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Daytona Beach, Wilmington, Jacksonville, and more. The Savannah launch further supports the airline’s strategy of providing affordable, point-to-point travel without layovers.
Travelers choosing Breeze Airways can expect budget-friendly fares, flexible scheduling, and a comfortable onboard experience designed for both short leisure trips and longer weekend stays. Tickets for the new route are now available on the airline’s official website, with early booking encouraged due to expected demand.
Breeze’s expansion comes as U.S. airlines roll out major December flight deals. Industry giants like United Airlines are discounting more than 4,500 flights to over 300 destinations ahead of the holiday rush. AAA reports that Thanksgiving and Christmas travel numbers are expected to hit record highs this year, with millions of Americans planning trips.
United is currently offering standout deals such as $215 round-trip fares from New York to Los Angeles and $137 round-trip flights from Chicago to Orlando for early 2026 travel. Breeze Airways, meanwhile, is capturing attention with one-way fares beginning at just $30, including departures from New Haven, Connecticut, and Raleigh, North Carolina, to destinations across Florida.
Some of Breeze’s lowest December fares include Manchester (NH) to Fort Myers for $43 and Bangor (ME) to Tampa Bay for $49, giving travelers multiple options to escape winter weather without stretching their budget.
With a new nonstop route launching next year and holiday deals already live, Breeze Airways continues to position itself as one of the most affordable and accessible travel options in the U.S. market. The airline’s growing network and aggressive pricing make it an increasingly popular choice for both budget travelers and weekend vacationers
