A powerful explosion occurred near the CRPF School in Delhi’s Rohini Sector 14 on Sunday morning, triggering widespread concern. The blast, which damaged the school wall, nearby shops, and a parked car, fortunately, resulted in no injuries. According to initial reports, authorities suspect a crude bomb could be behind the explosion, but the cause is still under investigation.

Emergency teams, including forensic experts, the bomb disposal squad, and Delhi Police’s Special Cell, rushed to the scene following a PCR call received at 7:47 am. A foul smell and shattered glass from nearby vehicles and shops were observed at the site of the explosion. Fire engines also responded, but no fire was reported.

Local residents captured video footage showing thick smoke billowing from the area, adding to concerns. Delhi Police have cordoned off the area, and samples are being collected for forensic examination. While there are no immediate signs of a terror angle, a comprehensive investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blast.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been informed, and the National Security Guard (NSG) may also be deployed. Officials are reviewing CCTV footage and examining various possibilities, including whether the blast was caused by a crude bomb or other explosive materials.

This incident has heightened concerns about public safety, particularly as it follows a series of recent bomb threats that have caused disruptions in flights across the country. Authorities are urging residents to stay vigilant as the investigation continues.
