Honda Rebel 500 India: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has officially launched the much-anticipated 2025 Honda Rebel 500 cruiser in the Indian market, priced at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram).
The motorcycle marks Honda’s foray into the midsize cruiser segment and is now available for bookings at BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, as well as online via Honda BigWing India’s website. Customer deliveries are set to commence in June 2025.
The Honda Rebel 500 features a classic bobber-inspired design with a low-slung silhouette, wide handlebars, and chunky tyres that contribute to its commanding road presence.
Finished in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic shade, the motorcycle boasts an all-black theme with minimal bodywork, steeply raked fuel tank, and a round LED headlamp that reinforces its retro-modern character.

Powering the Rebel 500 is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, delivering 45.6 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is tuned for strong mid-range performance, ideal for both city cruising and highway touring. The exhaust system offers a bass-heavy note, adding to the motorcycle’s cruiser appeal.
Underneath, the Rebel 500 is built on a steel tubular frame and is equipped with Showa dual rear shock absorbers and telescopic front forks.
Braking is managed by a 296mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, paired with dual-channel ABS for added safety. The bike rolls on Dunlop tyres with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear profiles, offering stability and grip.
The seat height is a low 690 mm, making it accessible for shorter riders, while its ergonomics are designed for a relaxed and comfortable riding posture.
The cockpit features an LCD instrument cluster, replacing traditional analog dials, adding a modern touch to its otherwise retro styling.
Speaking on the launch, Yogesh Mathur, Director – Sales and Marketing, HMSI, said: “The Rebel 500 is more than just a motorcycle. It’s a statement of individuality and freedom.
With its unique styling, torquey engine, and laid-back ergonomics, we believe it’s the perfect cruiser for Indian riders looking for something different.”
With limited availability at launch, Honda is targeting premium motorcycle enthusiasts through its BigWing Topline outlets.
Given the rising demand for middleweight cruisers in India, the Rebel 500 is poised to attract riders looking for style, substance, and performance in one package.
Bookings are now open, and deliveries are expected to begin across the three launch cities starting next month.
