Khalil Herbert: Returning Khalil Herbert is headed for Cincinnati. According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, the Bengals have struck a deal with the Bears on a trade placing Herbert in their backfield for the remainder of the season. The Bears will get a seventh-round selection in 2025 as pay-off.
Herbert strengthens the Bengals backfield after Zack Mass suffered a neck injury. The team has been thinned out behind Chase Brown since Moss missed Sunday’s victory against the Raiders and head coach Zac Taylor indicated he is out indefinitely.
In his first three seasons in Chicago, Herbert had 364 runs for 1,775 yards and eight touchdowns, while running only eight times for 16 yards this season.
