Kia Carnival: South Korean automaker Kia Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Kia Carnival fourth-generation model in India. Designed for large families, this premium 7-seater MPV is packed with advanced features, including an 8-airbag safety system, making it a top choice for those seeking both comfort and security. Priced at ₹63.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Kia Carnival is now available for sale in a single fully-loaded Limousine trim. Kia has hinted that this introductory price might see an increase in the near future.

New Design and Features of the Kia Carnival

The fourth-generation Kia Carnival, which debuted in the global market in November last year, has now arrived in India through the Complete Built Unit (CBU) route. Compared to the discontinued third-generation model, the new Carnival boasts a more refined and boxier design, with sharper lines and a modern aesthetic.

The car features Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, flanked by L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and vertically stacked LED headlamps, giving it a bold and commanding road presence. The 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels further enhance its side profile, while the rear sports L-shaped tail lights connected by an LED light bar, adding to the overall sleek look.

Color Options and Interiors

In India, the Kia Carnival is offered in two exterior color options: Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black. For the interiors, buyers can choose between two dual-tone themes: Navy with Misty Gray, or Tuscan with Amber. The car’s 2+2+3 seating layout is designed for maximum comfort, with the second-row captain seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and adjustable leg support, perfect for long family journeys.

Power and Performance

The new Kia Carnival retains its powerful 2.2-liter diesel engine, capable of producing 193 hp and 441 Nm of peak torque. This robust engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, ensuring a smooth and efficient driving experience, whether on highways or city roads. In addition, Kia is offering three years of free maintenance, warranty, and roadside assistance with the Carnival, making it a hassle-free ownership experience.

Kia has already secured 2,796 bookings for the new Carnival, reflecting its strong demand in the Indian market.

Advanced Features

The Kia Carnival comes fully loaded with premium features that cater to both luxury and practicality. It boasts dual 12.3-inch curved displays for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, a 4-spoke steering wheel, dual electric sunroofs, three-zone climate control, and an 11-inch head-up display. The 12-speaker Bose sound system ensures a top-notch audio experience, while the 12-way powered driver seat and wireless charging pad add to the convenience.

Other key interior features include haptic touch surfaces for HVAC controls, physical dials, powered second-row captain seats with extended leg support, and a powered tailgate and sliding rear doors. All these features combine to create a comfortable, luxurious cabin for passengers.

Safety Features

Kia has gone the extra mile to ensure the Kia Carnival is equipped with top-tier safety features. The MPV includes 8 airbags, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist control, tire pressure monitoring system, and parking sensors (front, rear, and side). The car also comes with a 360-degree camera and an ADAS Level 2 suite, which offers cutting-edge safety technologies like lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision warning with avoidance assist, high beam assist, and adaptive cruise control.
