Pune: In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old man was brutally murdered following a heated argument over a meal in the Dhayari area of Pune. The crime took place in the early hours near Sinhagad Road, leading to the arrest of five suspects involved in the fatal assault.
The victim, identified as Aditya Ghorpade, a resident of Ghorpade Chawl in Dhayari, was allegedly attacked by a group of five individuals, including Akash alias Nanya Pardeshi and his stepbrother Suresh Shukla. A case has been registered against the accused at the Sinhagad Road Police Station, following a complaint lodged by Aditya’s mother, Rajshree Santosh Ghorpade. (Pune News)
Incident Details
According to police reports, Aditya and his friends had gone out for drinks at the Galaxy Resto Bar in Narhe. Following the drinking session, they ordered food. During the meal, an argument broke out when Akash began eating from Aditya’s plate without permission. Aditya, irritated by this, asked Akash why he was taking food from his plate. Both men were intoxicated, and the situation escalated into a verbal confrontation. (Pune Crime News)
After the initial argument, Akash left the scene. Later, around 1 AM, when Aditya and his friends were heading home after their meal, Akash and his group intercepted them near the Trimurti Kirana Store on Dhayari Road. The altercation took a violent turn as Akash and his associates attacked Aditya with bamboo sticks and struck him on the head with stones. The assault left Aditya critically injured.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving treatment.
Police Investigation Underway
As soon as the police received information about the incident, senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ajay Parmar, and Senior Police Inspector Raghavendra Kshirsagar, rushed to the crime scene. The police are actively searching for the absconding accused, while Inspector Atul Bhosle is leading the investigation. (Dhayari Crime News)
