Pune, October 4 – A fire broke out at a general store near Pune Railway Station early Friday morning, destroying all the shop’s goods. The fire was reported around 4:30 AM, and the flames quickly spread, sending thick smoke into the air. Firefighters arrived on the scene with two fire engines and a water tanker, managing to bring the fire under control.
Several guests staying at a lodge above the store were trapped due to the fire. Firefighters used ladders to safely rescue the stranded individuals. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, though the entire stock in the shop was lost. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, though an official investigation is ongoing.
