Pune, 4 Oct- A spate of sandalwood thefts has been causing alarm in the Wajewadi area of Shirur Taluka over the past two days. Local residents who attempted to stop the thieves faced violent retaliation, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The victims, including a woman, a young boy, and a youth, were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The incidents have sparked fear among the local community.
