Ratan Tata Passes Away at 86: Ratan Naval Tata, the Honorary Chairman of Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86. He breathed his last around 11 PM on Wednesday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for age-related illnesses.
Industrialist Harsh Goenka shared the news of Tata’s demise, calling him a symbol of integrity and philanthropic leadership. Tata’s body was moved from the hospital to his residence around 2 AM. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde announced that his funeral will be conducted with full state honors.
The public can pay their respects from 10 AM to 4 PM on Thursday at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in South Mumbai. Tata was honored with Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and Padma Bhushan in 2000.
