Pune, 17 Oct: The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections have been announced, sparking significant discussions across the political landscape. One of the prominent names making headlines is Rupali Chakankar, the Women’s State President from the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Chakankar is rumored to be contesting the elections from the Khadakwasla constituency in Pune district.

In a recent interview with TV Channels, Rupali Chakankar shared insights into her political ambitions and the path she intends to pursue. “In 2019, I expressed my desire to represent the Khadakwasla constituency, and I have been actively working in the area since then. As part of the Mahayuti alliance, we have made our request to senior leaders, including Ajitdada, for Khadakwasla. It is important to note that the decision rests with the BJP within the Mahayuti framework. However, we are committed to upholding the principles of our alliance and continuing our work diligently,” she stated. (Rupali Chakankar News)

Chakankar emphasized the importance of understanding the party’s vision and policies, especially for newcomers in politics. “It’s crucial for those entering the party to comprehend its core objectives and policies. It’s better not to discuss these aspects superficially. The roles we are given must serve the society and the party. Those unfamiliar with the commission’s tenure should refrain from speaking out, as constructive criticism is often lacking in opposition,” she added. (Pune Politics News)

Rupali Chakankar’s grassroots efforts began with self-help groups, and she has been instrumental in managing organizational matters across Maharashtra. She expressed pride in her contributions to the state, stating, “The position I hold in the Women’s Commission is constitutional. The party is well aware of my efforts. I am dedicated to addressing the issues faced by the people and working on women’s concerns.”
