In an astonishing revelation, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson claims he was attacked by a demon, leaving him with bleeding claw marks and scars that are still visible today. This claim was made in a newly released clip for Christianities, an upcoming documentary exploring the diversity of Christian traditions.
According to Carlson, the incident took place a year and a half ago as he was asleep beside his wife and four dogs. “I woke up and I couldn’t breathe,” he said. “I had terrible pains on my rib cage and on my shoulder.” Upon reaching the bathroom to inspect, he discovered four claw marks on each side beneath his arms and on his shoulder, all actively bleeding.
Carlson, who says he does not come from a faith tradition that typically acknowledges supernatural forces, was reportedly left confused and shaken. He consulted his assistant, an evangelical Christian, who suggested that his experience was likely a “demon attack.” This eerie encounter, Carlson says, compelled him to start reading the Bible, an experience he describes as transformative.
In his conversation with Christianities documentarian John Heers, Carlson was asked whether he believed “the presence of evil” was leading people to seek out goodness and faith. Carlson responded, “I had a direct experience with it,” adding, “No one has to believe me, I don’t care, but that happened to me.”
Reflecting on the physical evidence, Carlson explained that the claw marks did not align with his own hand size or nails, and noted that both his wife and dogs—usually light sleepers—were undisturbed during the incident.
Though Carlson’s tale might sound surreal to some, he has previously touched on similar themes of supernatural occurrences. In fact, during an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Carlson reportedly discussed demonic possession as a real phenomenon. He has also expressed that, in his view, spiritual battles could be at the heart of his high-profile parting with Fox News, with some supporters suggesting that Carlson’s departure was “a casualty of [the spiritual] war.”
This chilling narrative has sparked interest and debate among Carlson’s followers and beyond. Despite the skeptics, Carlson remains steadfast in his account. His story sheds light on his evolving perspective on faith and the unexplained, leaving audiences with more questions than answers.
